concurrent filing

According to my understanding, after October 1, 2005, we can't concurrently file I140 and I485 for all of the EB1, EB2 and EB3 within 5 years or so because of the retrogression of Priority Date. Am I right? Another question is, can I change my job from a faculty in hospital in life science field to an employee in company with the similar business (bioscience) after I get my I140 of NIW approved but before I submit my I485? Any answers are warm welcome! Thank you folks in advance!
