当前TITLE是公司 R&D engineer,想以后申请大学faculty, 行吗?
No, if employer sponsored EB. Must have same SOC or LCA code, similar job description and industry.
But if it is EB11, EB2-NIW, it's OK to change job in the same career path stated in your I-140. Both R&D engineer,大学faculty are fine if in the same field.

若不行, 而又换了这样的工作,有什么后果?
If LC based and I-140 approved, you keep that PD when you start your next LC-based petition.
If LC-waived I-140, start from the scratch.
