485 vs. OPT

1. Is it better to fill 485 (EB-2) before the Oct.1 deadline, or keep my F1 status and apply for OPT? I'm graduating 06/06.

2. After filing 485 this month, will I loss F-1 status immediately and no longer receiver scholarship?

3. If anything goes wrong with my 485 application (e.g. lawyer file before 10/1 deadline but missed a document, or lawyer miss 10/1 deadline), does that mean I would have to go back to China immediately?

4. If I file 485, I will not be able to file OPT, right?

I'm so confused. Thanks for answering my questions!!
