请问申请绿卡大部分人都要等5年时间么？

我学化学，明年PhD毕业，可能去当博后，也可能去公司。
刚看到绿卡申请的政策有变动，很多种要排期5年，所以在这里想问个大致情况。

我原听师兄说可以先到学校里面做博后，只要paper多，可以走第一优先，办绿卡很快就可以下来，现在还是这样么？我也不是特别优秀，但现在有第一作者paper3篇，估计将来一年2篇应可以。

如果去公司，据说多半是走EB2的道路，要等很长时间。

抱歉，我对于这些东西都是一知半解，肯定有说错的地方。只是想请各位指点一下，以后大多数人申请绿卡都要排期5年么？按照我现在条件，那条路可短些？谢谢。

另外，请问工卡大致需要几年可以下来？我听说有些职位不用绿卡，有工卡就可以申请。
