Postdoc is a temporary position, so I think it is good
to apply GC by research scientist position. However, as
far as I know, many postocs applied GC from school by
E1 (sponsor-based). That is, the case really depends. If
your school thinks your postdoc postion as a perminant,
it is also easy to apply.
