my understanding, right or not

1. If filed I 485 after Oct. 1, 2005, cannot be assigned an A# or submit I485 according to the published cut-off date.
2. If filed I-485 before Oct. 1 2005 and got an A#. If there is visa quota available, your case will still be processed.

Right or Not?
