big retrogression

I am one of those who are in the mid of GC process, and my case might be the worst one: EB3, RIR, filed on June 2004.

Initially, I, like many of you, suspected the 5-year retrogression posts, because the linked webpage could not be opened by IE, plus I personally chose not to believe so. Now, it turns true, and I would like to share my thoughts with you.

First, never lose your hope no matter how. You may check visa bulletin of 1998, 1999 which did show that cutoff dates (which retrogressed by 3 years) disappear over month.(eg. http://dosfan.lib.uic.edu/ERC/visa_bulletin/9907bulletin.html, and http://dosfan.lib.uic.edu/ERC/visa_bulletin/9908bulletin.html). To my understanding, it's just DOS's traditional strategy to deal with its overstocked cases.

Second, even if GC is reachless, there's no reason for us to lose our hope for life. "此地不留爷，自有留爷处"。With our skills, we can always enjoy life. We should not neglect those actually counts most in the definition of happiness and welfare, such as health, love, friendship, and so forth. It's just a matter of where we enjoy our life. It's not worth of our messing up the life or even this forum.
