company(start-up) will be sold

Hi,we are very junior here and hope whoever knows this situation give us some suggestions. We have been told our perm application will be filed at the end of Sep.But,our company will be sold in next two monthes for sure. Does this mean We have to redo all the procedures after company sold if we will not get laid off.
