自己开车从美国回加拿大是否仍然需要枫叶卡？

I am a permanent resident of Canada. Do I need to apply Permanent Resident Card to re-enter if I drive my own car cross the board from USA? The rules only applies to permanent residents who will be returning to Canada after December 31, 2003 by commercial carrier (airplane, train, bus or boat). Right ???
