One more thing I want to warn you. Since you are bearing J1, you must apply for waiver in US, which may take at least one year. You can't apply for H1 until you get waiver. If you leave US before waiver is granted, you will be considered to fulfill your obligation, which means you will not be able to get other visas except B2, unless you have stayed in China for 2 years, any time you staying in any countries other than China will not be counted.
Even for B2, it will be very tough to get it since what's reason you are going to use to apply for B2 visa? Visiting your boyfriend? OK, immigration tendency, not allowed for B2, reject.

Basically, if you leave US, your dream is over, no matter you are married or not.
