NSC NIW REF and a bad lawyer

A bad lawyer, even didn't ask me to prepare the application letter and some relevant evidence, so of course, got the ref. last month, but the lawyer still didn't ask for the application letter until I found it yesterday by myself. Can I fire this lawyer? Sigh.........

And do any XDJM know how long to know the final result after we send out the ref. package in NSC? Thanks for sharing.
