我是从加拿大过来的，一直在同一个公司工作，EB2 I-140。从排期看，不久就能File 485了, 但是我的儿子还在加拿大上大学。

请教老师：

1. 在File 485的时候，是否我的太太和儿子都必须在美国？-Yes. They need to be physically present in US to file I-485. 他们必须持有H4签证吗？-They need to have a legal status such as H-4.

2. 在File 485后 (485 pending期)，我的儿子能否回加拿大继续上学？-He can apply for advance parole (AP) and get it approved to travel. AP allows he to stay outside US for less than one year. He can come back to US to renew AP, but he must get the approved AP before he leaves.
