回复：请教各位老师: 儿子持加拿大护照，在美工作结束，想在我们这住一阵，是否要换签证

儿子在美国大学毕业后，找了个contract工作，用的是TN签证，签证是今年12月底到期，而他的contract工作下个月就结束了。若他想和我们在美国住一阵（我们有绿卡），想知道
 

1. 他需要立即去边境取消TN签证吗?
-If his employer ask USCIS to cancel the TN, then he has to go to the US-Canada border to get the B2 (use his passport to enter US) to come back. Otherwise, he can stay with you for a while. Because his TN I-94 does not expire yet, he will be fine  to stay with you unless he is arrested by a police such as car accident getting police involved. Of course, for the 100% safe, he may go to the border and use his passport to reenter US.
 

2. 他需要立即申请探亲签证吗？
 

3. 是否可以就这样先住下，过一阵再去边境办探亲签证？
