$80 is a good price for the location. Yosemite charges that much for tent, so the $80 is very reasonable. We stayed at the hotel room, it costed twice as much. It is an experience, they did not upgrade them on purpose. Old Faithfull Inn is actually a landmark, its wooden structructure is quite remarkable. Be sure to have dinner at their resturant and order steak. It was the best steak I had for a while, several people in our group said that as well.
Old faithfull is famous, but there are several geysers that are better just down the hill.
