Old faithful inn is not famous for the hotel itself, it is famous for its location - so you can watch old faithful at dusk and at dawn right outside your hotel.

Yellowstone if not The oldest, would be among the oldest national parks in this country. What do you expect ? a 5 star resort in the park ?

For the better rooms, many have made reservations a year ahead. If you notice that, the provider already accept 2006 reservation but cannot guarantee rates as that are set by the national park each year on how much maximum the concession can charge.

We are going after Sept 20, the availability is just as limited. Both nights we have to settle with cabin without bathroom. So be it.

If you can camp, camping is cheaper but reserve your campsite early.
