I once stayed at Hilton Waikoloa Village in Big Island.
I saw cockroaches, too. I couldn't believe what I saw and
was really mad until I talked with a colleage who
is from Hawaii. According to him, because of the
warm climate in Hawaii, cockroaches are everywhere.
He would not be surprised if he sees it in a five-star
hotel. THere are just too many of them.
He also mentions that cockroaches in Hawaii are huge and can fly.
Obviously, it's news to "mainlanders" , but not to me, of course. Cockroaches in China are huge and big and they thrive everywhere not just places with balmy weather.
