In my opinion, the mission of HK is to be an exemplary city-economics for mainland, from education, health care, corporate governance, to democracy. But sadly, the continuous onslaught of the mainland culture is taking its tolls. If it is true that happy couples breed, then HK is not a happy city any more.

There are still many people covering their ears with cotton and hoping the bell won't ring. They created self-illusions such as city potential ranking.
