Well, to LZ. It really depends on ur expectation.

I have been here for quite a few years. In terms of living condition, sucks! You can check the rental online. You will be surprised at what "luxury apartment" means and how much it costs here.

Other than that, pretty good. Dining out is much cheaper here than in US in general. Hong Kong is close to home. I don't have kids. No idea on education.

1.3 million is a reasonable income. But, don't expect a luxury life with this number.
