1. anti-biotics need to be iv administered. I'm sure that your doctor has been using antibiotics after surgery. 

2. Either ultra-sound or abdonminal CT to see the bleeding. If it's serious, a laparoscopy could one stone for two birds--diagnosis and treatment.
