question about low blood pressure

Dear all:

I'm kind of new to this forum and wondering I ask a few questions about my low blood pressure (52/86). I went to my docror  and he suggested me to drink a lot of salty water. My hands and foots are little bit swollen today. Is that from the salty water I drunk? I have been feeling dizzy and lighteheaded for a while and will go to see a neurologist soon...
