Tranditional Chinese medicine is better than western medicine to treat 萎缩性胃炎. Western medicine uses antiacide drugs, nothing else. There is a much better chance to reverse 肠化 and cure  this disease with tranditional Chinese medicine (you may look for some Youtube vidios talking about how to treat this disease). I don't think your  father-in-law should come to US to treat his 萎缩性胃炎. Ask him to find a good Zhong Yi doctor in China.
