Seeing the post about Job's death and his reluctance to surgery treatment and wanted to vent a bit :)

Imagine this, he had completely followed his dr's suggestion and had finished the treatment, but still would have to die after 5 or 6 years.  Then Jobs would regret that what the heck, why didn't try his own way??  And people on this forum would then have argued for alternative medicine.

It's his personality made his sucess, and it's also same personality that made his choice on his treatment.  You just can't make perfect choice all the time and actually you can't even define perfection.

I would not doubt that Jobs would have been told the tradeoffs regarding his treatment and prognosis.  But Life/death is only once.  This means, no matter what you do, there COULD always be another way, which might have been more appealing or more rosy.  And everybody want's to live his/her own life, and even so for Jobs.

All I'd like to say is that saying ignorance killed Jobs is really a 20/20 hind sight.

Bricks, slowly up, slowly down :)
