WSJ had an article (years ago), described how military r/o

re-certify the medicines they stored and re-use them. IMHO, most medicines are fine after 6 months to a year. Usually they are just less effective at the worst. But, of course, that is at your own risk to do so. Everyone has a different comfort level.
