以前写过关于asthma的帖子，都没了。 近来太忙，无法仔细写。简单说，如果单纯
是asthma，即使在lung function dropping to 30%-50%的情况下，一个到两个course(5-
10 days)的oral steroid should get his lung function back to normal(我的
经验). 如果还是不行，就要考虑是否pneumonia。一般的xray可以看得清楚。如果
看不到，且lung function 在服用激素还不能comeback，医生想用CT也是有道理的。
极少次数的CT不应该是health concern. The un recovered lung function presents
a higher risk. You definitely do not want your son's lung tissue got permanent
damage.
看到你的帖子，觉得你很confused。如果steroid cured asthma, lung function
should be normal (in terms of volume), if your son's lung function is very
low normally, that means he is not cured.

If I were you, I would be worried more about his lung problems instead of
the CT.
