Packing your medicine cabinet
It is important to have your own basic medicine and medical supplies on hand for COVID-19, as well as other typical ailments, injuries, and illnesses. Your “COVID-19 medicine cabinet” should contain the following items:

  • COVID-19 rapid antigen tests
  • A personal supply of masks, preferably KN94 or KN95 masks
  • Thermometer
  • Pain relievers and fever-reducers such as ibuprofen (Advil) and acetaminophen (Tylenol)
  • Medicine for cough and congestion containing dextromethorphan HBr and/or guaifenesin (Robitussin DM)
  • Medicine for stomach issues like nausea, gas, diarrhea, and indigestion (Pepto Bismol)
  • Items to soothe cold/flu symptoms such as a cough drops, soup/broth, herbal tea, honey, tissues
