Help! H1B is going to be laid

Do you know what the laws say about being laid off?

Must I find another company and have them file the petition for me within 10 days after the day I get
laid off? Otherwise, I will be"black"?

Or I have more time? Or I have other options?

Please give some suggestion. Thank you.
