Two H1B petition.

2 questions:

1. My opt will expire at end of this year, and my H1b petition needs more reference, if it is denied at the beginning of next year, I will be out of status immediately, or there is a grace period of time for me to apply for another H1b?

2. Can I file h1b petition at Nebrasca center and then file another h1b petition at Vermont center, would those centers do a cross check? should I wait for one get approved, then transfer to the second one at once?
