You don't have to work for the company who sponsors your LC and then I-140 before GC approval. In this case, you must 1. work for that sponsor after GC approval OR 2. work at least 180 days during and after I-485 filed, or GC can be taken away (if not 1.) or I-485 can be denied (if not 2.).
