8老师和各位高手 ，我持加拿大护照，在美国用H1签证，今年9月到期。新的三年延期批件已经拿到，从9月起生效。我和小孩在8月份往返中国，回来在美国海关是否要有这个新的I-797？谢谢了！

-Yes, you need to show the new H-1b approval notice to the CBP officer at the port of entry, and also bring the old H-1B approval notice, just in case. You need to check the I-94 and the entry stamp (on your passport) to make sure the I-94 duration (your legal stay period of time) is consistent with the I-94/H-1B validity period of time on the new H-1B approval notice. If no, ask the IO to fix it there.
