H1B 五个月后到期(reach 6 years limit)，现在准备申请EB2 NIW 来得及吗？

I-140一般需要4-6个月才能批准，估计H1B到期时140还在pending,如何保持合法的工作身份？
-My suggestion is that after you file NIW I-140 and before your H-1 reaches the 6 year limit, just leave US and go back to China to stop the H-1 clock, then extend the H-1 beyond the 6 year limit after the I-140 is approved using the approved I-140. Then, you can get the H-1 visa to come back. Another choice is that you may get the I-20 and leave US to China before the H-1 reaches the 6 year limit. Then, get the F-1 visa to enter US, then file NIW I-140. After the NIW I-140 is approved, then you can change your status from F-1 to H-1 and extend the H-1 beyond the 6 year limit at the same time using the approved I-140.
