Great, so my understanding is I need my old I-140 approval for extending my H1B, once it's granted.

 My new company need to file new GC to support future H1B extention. Right?

-Yes, if the old approved I-140 is withdrawn. If the old I-140 is not withdrwan, you can use it to do the h1 extension again.
