Maybe you want to prepare your supporting docments in two types.
1) Your status has been always valid. Like copis of I20's, I797,...
2) You financial situation is good enough to support your parents. Like your proof of employment letter.

You need to state clearly in your letter you transfered to H1B before the commencement. Maybe attach a copy of your commencement program.
