can I travle Mexico with H1B?

I know ppl have gone there to apply U.S. visa and come back safely but I want to take a vacation at Mexico which may take 7days. I have H1b and I wonder if it is safe to come back without any U.S. reentry visa.

What document do I have to prepare?
