应该没问题，但是公司需要给你准备一封信证明在中国的工作是短期的，需明确注明assignment结束日期。
我09年初到10年初在国内工作近一年，律师告知如果是短期的assignment，且回美国后将从事原来的职位就没有影响。下面是律师的回复。
"you should not have any problems taking a [x]-month secondment in China. As an H-1B nonimmigrant you can travel outside the US while your I-485 application is pending. We do recommend that you have with you when traveling a letter from [employer's name] stating that you are taking a secondment for [x] months and that when the secondment is completed you will return to the US to continue your employment with [employer] as a [job title]."
