请教皮老师和8老师H1B延期问题

I work in a public college. My school filed my H1B extension to the Vermont service center in early Sep. We got the reciept(# WACXXXX) in the middle of Sep. The USCIS online staus shows "initial review". Today I found out that all cap-exempt cases should be filed to California center. Do I need to fix it? Is the VSC going to forward my case to CSC automatically? Does the receipt # WAC indicate cases that belong to CSC? Thanks a lot!
