You will be able to work till the expiration date of your OPT. If your H-1B is approved before the expiration date of the OPT, you will be elligibly stay in U.S. without working. And, you can continue your work on 10/01/2005. if your petition is not being approved, you will have 60 days' greasy period. Good Luck.
