Pijiang and 863211, help using AP with h1B pending

Hi Pijiang and 863211,

I have a question about traveling with a H1B petition pending at USCIS.
I plan to visit China in late June and return in early July with my AP
(approved in March, 2010). My future employer is preparing to transfer
my H1B. Yet I don't know when they can submit the I129 to USCIS. After
I re-enter the U.S. using AP in early July, I will continue to work for my current employer. Will there adverse effect on the pending H1B
petition (I plan to work for my new employer in late July or early August)? I kind of heard a last action rule, but not sure the impact in my
case.
