保证是最后一个：我很想在境内做H1 extension, 可公司的律师认为既然我不是用的H1B入境，那么AP失效以后目前就没有任何合法身份了。没有合法身份就不能在境内extend/reinstate H1B,只能出境重新激活H1B. 律师还认为我现在已经属于没有合法身份的非法逗留，应该尽快离境。
-This lawyer is not professional, and his/her comments are ridicular. Your status is AOS after using AP and you can extend/transfer h1 to re-instate your H1 status any time within U.S. after using AP. But you can not do that within US if you use EAD. I think this lawyer think using AP = using EAD.

请问有何比较明确的法律条文可以用来说服律师我可以在境内extend H1B么？律师也承认这是个灰色区域，只是他倾向于保守的做法。十万分感谢您的耐心答复！
