H1B自己办:When to file?

My OPT will expire on 8/1/05. On I-129, if I put date of intended empoyement starting from 8/2/05 (which is right after my OPT expires), do I have to wait till 4/1/05 to file my I-129? The Instructions says "file your petition asap, but no more than 4 months before the proposed employement wil begin". If I want to file it right now, do have to put the date of intended employment 4 months from now? Thanks to all who may repond, really and greatly!!!!!
