Help on H1B laidoff!!

I am holding a H1B visa and work for a startup company. Last week, the company suddenly got into financial problem and can not support me anymore. I am trying my best to looking for a job. however, time is too short to find one. Is there any way for me to stay longer in US for job searching? or anything I should try for keeping legal status?
