how long will it take to transfer to new company?

one more question, how long will it take to get H1-b extension?

My case is complicate. I was working for company XXX and company XXX support
me submitted H1-B extension application. Before my h1-B extension
application get approval, company XXX sold us to company YYY. Right now
company YYY want to do H1-B transfer, but my H1-B will expire in this month.
can any one give advice?
