关于学校sponsored H1-B 用AP回美的问题

看论坛帮助里的长文，基本感觉是用了AP H1－B仍然有效，也并不一定要立即renew/reinstate

既然这样，那我回国的时候能不告诉学校偷偷走然后偷偷回来吗？因为好像有些学校的office非要认为用了AP就不是H1-B，只能用EAD了。虽然还没有问过自己的学校，但万一他们不认可，那岂不是反而被他们盯上？

所以想知道原则上到底是不是必须和学校报告自己的出入境。多谢拉
