H1B visiting China

I came here with F1 and transfered to H1B visa two years ago. I want to visit China in Christmas, but everybody told me the security check took forever. Is every H1B holder get checked? Can I have a better chance if I go to 3rd country? Any suggestion is appreciated. Thanks a lot!
