放弃H1-B一定要中止GC吗？

打算转回国工作一段时间，还在同一家美国公司。但是因为薪水不同也不从美国领，所以H-1B要取消。
GC情况如下：
EB2
LCA June 2006
I-140 Sept 2006
I-485 submitted July 2007; pending / waiting for quota
EAD/AP in hand

好像只要一年后还回美国工作，GC可以不取消。
但是又说GC申请Based on H-1B salary.
If H1-B is cancelled and salary changes, then GC is no longer valid. Therefore GC has to be cancelled.

Is there anyone has any idea about the GC status after H1-B cancellation? Thanks in advance.
