I have the same status with you. I think there is no problem. However, you need get visa to enter US again if you go out of US. This happens no matter before (H4) or after Oct. 1 (H1B). I haven't made decision yet whether go back China or not. If possible, we may keep in tuch to exchange idea by leave your number or email. Thanks.
