However, at the time when CIS adjudicates your case, if you suplement H1b extension files (LCA, I-129 etc), he should be alerted and look into your H1b extension information, which has been accepted for process or approved. In that situation, he will give you 797A with I-94.
A straight H1b, without providing any H1b extension information would allow you travel outside to get a stamp. Because CIS may not notify your other valid H1b status.
