xiaobaitu，问h1b 有关的out of status 问题

朋友由于公司律师疏忽，遭到h1b transfer 被拒绝，也过了appeal 时间。6月从一公司transfer我公司，file h1 transfer, 9月被拒，但12月才知道，那么现在他的out of status 时间到底是从9月算还是6月起算？
