H1B transfer, minimum time for current employer? How many pay ch

Just started a job recently on 10/01 based on a company H1B (effective 10/01, previously in an university on an academic H1B), but then find a job from another company close to my spouse, and certainly would like to transfer the job.

Is there a minimum time that I have to work for my current employer before
I can file a transfer? Is 11/15 (3 bi-weekly pay checks) be good enough?

Anybody has similar experience? Any guru has some solid advice? Any risk in the transfer?

If the transfer is denied, may I continue working for my current employer?
