xiaobaitu and pjiang: H1B amendment MORE !!!!!!!!!

I asked H1B amendment quesiton before, but here are two more fundamental
questions.

My current status:
. F1 on OPT grace period
. My current CPA-SUBJECT H1B will start on Octobor 1
. Original H1B petion filed with a wrong job title
. An amendment to correct my job title HAS BEEN filed yesterday
. I need to travel back to China for visa interview
. I won't have amendment petition approval at the time of my visa interview

My quesitons are:
(1) If my job-title-correction amendment petition is denied by the USCIS (i
know it is unlikely to happen, but I need consider the worst case), will my
H1B slot be lost? i.e. I will subject to H1B cap again next year?

(2) If my visa stamping is denied at the consulate, will I lost my h1B slot?
i.e I will be subject to h1B cap again next year?

Please consider my situation that MY H1B WON"T START UNTIL OCT 1.
