AP and H1B

HI, Guys,

I got AP and I am in H1B status. The question is,
if I travel outside US for a week and come back
to US using AP, still work for my H1B sponsor,
what status I am in ? Do I need EAD to work for
my H1B sponsor ? Am I still in H1b ?

Thanks in advance for your help. Hopefully guys
had similar experince can clarify this for me since
I got contrdicting messages from various sources
